Drawing Property Explorer
You can review all drawing properties information of a specific CAD file "at-a-glance" by accessing the VHCAD Explorer. Drawing properties such as layer, blocks, line types, fonts and dimension styles can be conveniently maintained and managed within the explorer. Blocks contained in a drawing file can be shown as thumbnail images. You can even copy drawing properties between. With the powerful Explorer, drafting work can be streamlined for each particular project.

Fast Property Editing
By double clicking a drawing entity on VHCAD, a property editing dialog box will pop-up. You can modify all drawing properties of the entity such as colors, linetypes, and layers in one take, thus improve efficiency.

Multiple Drawings Interface
VHCAD fully supports the multiple-document interface (MDI) technology for multiple drawings display. You can open an unlimited number of drawing files to work concurrently and cut-and-paste between them. Productivity can be easily multiplied.

Real-time Pan/Zoom
You can freely move a complex large drawing around, and magnify any segment of it to view the details in real time by using the VHCAD's real time pan and zoom feature.

Customizing Workplace
VHCAD allows you to customize the workplace in a number of ways, such as changing the appearance of user interface, adding new linetypes, fonts and hatching patterns. With a few mouse clicks, you can easily modify and create menus, shortcuts and toolbars to fit your working habit. You can even directly load existing AutoCAD® menu files and shortcut files. This feature allows you to continue to work with your favorite customized drafting environment. Changes will take affect immediately without the need to reboot the system.



Setting Experience Level
You can control which menus and tools are available on the VHCAD interface by setting the experience level according to your skill. If you set at beginners level, menus and toolbars display only basic commands. For advanced level users, menus and toolbars display all available commands.



Support Raster Drawings
VHCAD is able to display raster drawing files in BMP, GIF, JPG, TIF and PCX formats. These image files can even be embedded to DWG files.



Script Recorder
VHCAD can record anything you type on the keyboard and mouse movements. You can save all of these actions to a script file and then repeat the actions by replaying the script. You can also load and run script files created for use with AutoCAD®. With such feature, repetitive work can be simplified.



ActiveX Compatible
VHCAD is a Microsoft® ActiveX® compatible application. You can embed documents from other ActiveX® compatible program, such as MS® Word and Excel to its drawing files, or embed a VHCAD drawing files to other program's document files.



Highly Compatible with AutoCAD®
VHCAD opens, edits and saves any existing drawings produced by AutoCAD® up to version 2006 without coversion or data loss. Most VHCAD's commands are also identical to AutoCAD®'s.
